Hi Tina,

I just took a look at your PBWiki and really like the layout. I did not know that could embed Meebo chat into a Wiki. Do you know if there is a way that Skype can be embedded into a blog or a Wiki?

I have been looking at Wikis and recently watched a Webinar by Bethany Bovard on the various wikis along with the pros and cons of each.

I am currently using Wet Paint Wiki for a final project in my Cybercommunications class and find that some of the editing options are not supported by Safari. I also find that when I try to log into my account it does not recognize my user name and password. I am required to request to re-set my password each time I log into my account using the same password!

At some point I think I will set up another account using Fire Fox Browser and see how it works.

I also looked at WikiSpaces and really like it. It seems more intuitive to use than Wet Paint.

Which is your favorite Wiki?

Sharon,

I've only used pbwiki so far and like the fact that you can add images or files. There is another librarian in Las Cruces using Wetpaint and it looks good, but I don't know if it has the functions that pbwiki has. I have noticed that many librarians use pbwiki.

Thanks Tina! I had some problems embeding video into Wet Paint because it said that the advanced editing functions were not supported by Safari. It also looks like WikiSpaces is very popular. Good to connect!

Thanks,

Sharon

Tina, Thanks for showing how the meebo chat can be used to communicate with students. I appreciated that you included the youtube video on how to embed the meebo chat on your wiki.
